MPCore.us – North Korea said it would deport a man who was arrested in October for entering the country illegally from China.

Pyongyang KCNA’s official news agency reported on Friday that when the man was interrogated, he said he had entered North Korea illegally under the command of the US Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA.

It is not clear when the person will be deported.

Lately, North Korea has become increasingly assertive in terms of the detention of American citizens, who are usually only released after an American politician was sent to release them. Prisoners are usually released in good condition.

But this does not apply to Otto Warmbier, an American student. He was released in coma last year after being detained for 17 months and died a few days later. North Korea has denied reports that it was tortured.

The latest decision to deport American citizens may be a signal that North Korea wants to continue to maintain the dialogue that has begun with America. In June, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump held a historic summit in Singapore.
