MPCore.us – Sharply divided American voters voted on Tuesday to elect new members of Congress and show their attitude towards President Trump’s government.

The results of the vote could shift the balance of power in Washington and change Trump’s presidency in the next two years.

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives were at stake on Tuesday, plus 35 of the 100 seats in the US Senate and 36 of the 50 positions of governors of states.

Polls and analysts of public opinion show that the opposition Democratic party excels in competition to dominate the Parliament. Democrats are championed to win Parliament seats more than they currently have and overall need 23 seats to reclaim the majority in the Parliament.

Republicans rely on President Trump to mobilize supporters to help maintain a thin majority of the Republican Senate’s which has 51 seats and 49 democratic seats.¬†Of the 35 Senate seats at stake Tuesday, Democrats hold 26 and Republicans hold nine.
