MPCore.us – The federal jury panel in Manhattan said Tuesday that an immigrant from Bangladesh was guilty of terrorism and detonated a pipe bomb on the New York subway last year.

Akayed Ullah, who is 28 years old, faces a life sentence.

The blast on December 11, 2017 injured three people, and caused panic when smoke filled the pedestrian tunnel between the two busiest underground stations in New York.

Defender of Ullah said, Ullah intended to commit suicide and did not intend to kill other people.

But the prosecutor referred to him as the only perpetrator of the attack who was cool and calculating and carried out his terrorist acts for ISIS.
